What is League of Legends?
League of Legends is a free MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Area) game from Riot Games that came out little over 10 years ago. Besides being a free MOBA League of Legends has an ever expanding community of players from all across the globe and is one of the most renown esports to date with a current community of over 115 million players.
League of Legends typically consists of two teams with five players. Each player would then draft a "champion", a character that has specific abilities, to play for the duration of the game. Before drafting a champion, a player chooses a lane to play in. Each lane has a different area of the map that they use to "farm" before the teams group up.
Divide and Conquer
During a typical season we try to have each team compete against another team they haven't fought against each week. Since having 20+ teams compete we had to divided into two separate groups; Division Demacia (D) and Division Noxus (N) which is shown on the team matches.
Both divisions will exclusively play against each other until the championship where we will take the top teams and create a new bracket for them to compete.
